PTSA Will Show Movie 'Roots'

Feb. 21, 2008 – For Black History Month, the St. Croix Educational Complex Parent Teacher Student Association will present the movie "Roots" by Alex Hailey as its February activity. It will be shown from 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in room 134, at the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall, according to a press release from the St. Croix Educational Complex PTSA.
The PTSA is asking all parents, students, faculty and staff to come out and bring the family to this activity where the younger generation can be inspired by the historical account of the Atlantic slave trade. The presentation is sponsored in part by the UVI Student Activity Center. This activity takes the place of the general monthly meeting. Refreshments will be served.
