Alert: Telephones Out in Basin Triangle – Contentment Areas

April 10, 2008 — About 150 phone subscribers were without service in the Basin Triangle – Contentment areas Thursday morning due to an automobile accident that damaged a cable, according to a release from Innovative Telephone.
“Officials are reporting telephone service outages in the Basin Triangle and Estate Contentment areas on St. Croix due to a cable that was damaged Wednesday evening,” the release said.
“The outage seems to have stemmed from a vehicular accident that damaged a telephone cable,” the release said. “It is estimated that about 150 subscribers in the area may have been affected. Innovative Telephone engineers are presently assessing the extent of the damage and the amount of time it will take for the lines to be repaired.”
Customers are asked to call the 912 repair line to notify the company of their telephone outages.
