Dear Source:
Have most of the delegates lost their minds (or have any to lose)? They are trying to act as a super-legislative body, wholly inappropriate. This document as it appears to be developing will never fly for many reasons, only a few of which I am highlighting below.
The definitions of Native Virgin Islander and Virgin Islander and the requirements that only Native Virgin Islanders hold office as Governor or Lt. Governor insult the diverse population in the territory and all those in a minority who live here and support this government. I would have thought that a people descended from enslaved Africans would want equality and inclusion of all, instead of relegating everyone else to second-class status.
A governor has to appoint his own cabinet. The Governor and Lt. Governor should be on a ticket together. I need not go into the reasons as the minority of the delegates have already expressed the reasons well.
What a waste of time and money.
