Oct. 25, 2006 Gov. Charles W. Turnbull has nominated Sensye Shomo of St. Thomas to serve on the Virgin Islands Wage Board. The term of office is three years.
Shomo is the director of special projects for St. Thomas and St. John for Mugar Enterprises Inc. The company, based in Boston, Mass., creates and develops business concepts for investment in the V.I. She is also the owner of Shomo Art Studios on St. Thomas.
A graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, she attended the former College of the Virgin Islands, Kean College of New Jersey, and the New York Culinary Arts in Cordon Bleu in N.Y.
The governor said in his transmittal letter to the Legislature that it is his pleasure to ask their advice and consent on the nomination of Shomo.
