Nov. 29, 2006 – Caribbean Community Theater will feature artists and entertainers at its A&E @ CCT VII event an evening of visual arts to be held at 6 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 2, at No. 18 Estate Orange Grove, Christiansted. There will also be entertainment beginning at 8 p.m.
The show will feature local artists Jane Akin and Heiko Schlueter, who will present a collection of original paintings capturing unique perspectives of color and beauty in nature. For the craft conscious, Sylvia Brady will have her "Island Angels" on sale, and Lea Ann Robson will be selling her popular beach glass jewelry and tree ornaments. Emy Thomas will also be present to sign her original books that will also be on sale.
The entertainment will feature singers, actors and poets, such as Lionel Downer, Debby Babb, Lorraine Durand, Sterling Gaston, Pam Fagan, Judi and Keeli Fricks, Leslie Highfield-Carter, Natalie Hollins, Oceana James, Jon and Jordan Rueck and Charles Lindberg. The event is sponsored by Business World.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and there will be a cash bar. Hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be served in the courtyard; everyone is encouraged to bring their specialty dish to share.
