UVI SMALL BUSINESS CENTER NAMES DIRECTOR

Warren T. Bush has been named the new state director for the University of the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center (UVI-SBDC).
Bush has worked for the UVI-SBDC since February 1998. For the past year, he supervised the operations of the UVI-SBDC St. Thomas office as its associate director. He held the position of acting state director for the past four months.
In his new position, Bush is responsible for the St. Thomas and St. Croix offices of the UVI-SBDC—a delivery service of management, technical and training assistance to small businesses in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Designed to foster the development of small business, the UVI-SBDC is a community outreach program of the University's Business Administration Program. The center provides broad-based management and technical assistance in the areas of business counseling, technical assistance, training, information-gathering and dissemination and advocacy to those ready to start a business and those who are already in business.
Prior to working at the UVI-SBDC, Bush, who has 25 years of business consulting experience, was the owner of a consulting company specializing in providing small business development services. He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Bluefield State College and a master's degree in industrial relations from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies.
