WICO & MR. THOMAS: OF ST. THOMAS, FOR ST. THOMAS

Dear Source,

Recently, Mr. Edward Thomas from the West Indian Company distributed a written press release in which he stated that WICO has the best interest of all Virgin Islanders at heart (like Senator Celestino White and the VLT). It is time that my fellow Crucians wake up and "smell what the Rock is cooking!"
Fact No. 1 is that WICO is, has been, and always will be located on St. Thomas. Fact No. 2 is that WICO is, has been, and always will be in the business of making money. Fact No. 3 is that the only way that WICO makes money from cruise ships, is by attracting them to St. Thomas, not to St. Croix!
How can Mr. Thomas and WICO boldly go to the media and tell the world that they are doing what they can to attract cruise ships to St. Croix? You, Mr. Thomas and WICO, do not make money if the ships come to St. Croix! So please, enough with your political rhetoric about doing what's best for the Virgin Islands. Like Senator White does for St. Thomas, Mr. Thomas only does what's best for WICO, which in turn is what's best for St. Thomas. Once WICO opens an office on St. Croix, and makes an honest commitment to aggressively attract ships to St. Croix, then and only then should Mr. Thomas come out and say that he and WICO are doing what they can to attract ships to the sleeping giant, St. Croix.
