Jan. 24, 2003 – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull has signed a bill that reallocates $6.7 million in the Health Department's Fiscal Year 2003 budget for the completion of renovations at the Charles Harwood Complex in Christiansted.
"It is part of my effort to expedite capital projects, which will in turn provide a much-needed boost for the economy of St. Croix," the governor said in a release issued on Thursday.
Lee Vanterpool, Government House public information officer, said the $6.7 million came from federal funds. He said further information was not available.
