May 16, 2003 – St. John artist Janet Cook-Rutnik will be conducting morning and afternoon printmaking workshops in monotype, collagraphy and linocut techniques on May 24 at her Sólo Arte gallery and studio in Cruz Bay.
The first workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the second, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. There's a fee of $55 for one session, or $100 for both, which includes all materials.
According to Cook-Rutnik, those interested in monotype printmaking may attend either session, or both. However, those wanting to learn about collagrphy and linocut need to attend both sessions.
The gallery/studio is located at the far end of the Lumberyard complex, where the "Art" banner hangs from the second story of the blue building above the Coral Bay School. Workshop space is limited, and reservations are required. To sign up or learn more, call Sólo Arte at 715-2150 or Cook-Rutnik at 693-8069, or stop by the gallery.
