LaGrange gut

This stream or small river dry up today. This photo was taken after the 1919 flood on St. Croix. Historically, millions of gallows of water flowed into the ocean year around. Today, this stream only flowed during heavy rain. “on St. Croix, the most noteworthy among the seven large streams, which far inland are salt River on the northside, and Lagrande, or actually Lacgrandi in the west end.” This stream is “Lagrande” now called La Grange Gut.
