The Forum will present Daniel Beaty's one-man play, "Emergence-See!" at 8 p.m., March 14, at Prior-Jollek Hall, Antilles School. Beaty wrote and performed the play in an extended run Off-Broadway at the Public Theater, for which he won an Obie Award. The premise of his play: In 2006, a slave ship emerges from the Hudson River near the Statue of Liberty. Beaty assumes 40 different personalities who explore our shared humanity and what it means to be free.
