Maria E. Massicot of Anna’s Retreat died on Feb. 28 at her residence. She was 68 years old.
She is survived by her mother, Rosema Fredrick; sons: Murray Jules and Ellison Massicot; daughters: Ernest Massicot, Anthia Joseph, Nelthia Christopher, Sothia Walton, Stacy Abraham-Lloyd and Tracy Abraham; sons-in-law: Andy Christopher, Morrison Joseph, Edward Walton and Calvert Joseph; daughter-in-law: Kitty Hodge; grandsons: Phillip A. George Jr., Matthew Massicot, Kaj W. Jules, Jasson Leatham, Andrew Christopher, Shaquille O’Neil, Shaquan O’Neil, Bob Massicot and Edward C. Walton III; granddaughters: Aniqueka Christopher, Abigail Leatham, Kalneisha Joseph, Tamia O’Neil, Kaleana Joseph, Kalmikay Joseph and Zakiyah Joseph; great-grandchildren: Juleen George, Caiden George and Kadeem O. John Jr.; sisters: Eucynthia Fredrick and Zila Fredrick; and brothers: Matson Fredrick, MacPherson Fredrick, Tilson Fredrick, Ulson Fredrick, Newton Fredrick, Max Fredrick and Sylvester Fredrick.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Philena Fredrick, Yvette Fredrick, Rufer Fredrick, Jannine Fredrick and Emmit Fredrick; brother-in-law, Murrel Massicot; aunts: Silma Fredrick and Emma Bruno; nieces: Frances Fredrick, Derricka Fredrick, Lauren Fredrick, Chrissie, Vashanti Fredrick, Elpha Fredrick, Suzette Fredrick, Vernel Fredrick, Donna Fredrick, Amanda Fredrick and Delphia Fredrick; nephews: Maxi Fredrick, Ray Fredrick, Kurlson Frederick, Kurvon Fredrick, Mitch Fredrick, Myan Fredrick, Nyran Fredrick, Lambert Fredrick and Gilbert Fredrick; first cousins: Augustina, Elizabeth Underwood and Euilda Prevost; close friends: Iselma Matthew, Milew Casimir, Thomas Casimir, Vidal, Crescentia "Bezoe" Abraham, Cynthia Sparrow (Sparrow’s wife), Mary Antoine, the JnBaptiste family and the McSween family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will be at the Francis Family Cemetery.
