Jan. 23, 2008 – Helen Candelaria Breedy Woods died on Jan. 18, at Schneider Regional Medical Center. She was 90 years old.
She is survived by her son, Al-Malik Salahuddin; daughter, Dorothy Sargeant; stepson, Charles Harrison; brothers: Joseph Breedy, Graciano Clause, Rudolph Clause; and sisters: Antonia Henley, Trinidad Attles, Violet Southwell, Rita Pole, Agatha Dunlop and Maria Simmonds. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Eunice Simmonds; brother-in-law, Joseph Simmonds; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 8-9:30 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 28, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral. Interment will be at St. Raymond's Cemetery in New York.
