Personnel, VIDOA and UVI Present Gardening Workshop

The Division of Personnel, in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture and the University of the Virgin Islands’ Extension Services, has announced the summer sessions of “Planting Seeds of Health: An Introduction to Gardening.” The six-week workshop series guides participants through the process of growing healthy fruits and vegetables at home as part of a greater wellness initiative, according to a press release issued Monday by the Virgin Islands Division of Personnel
Personnel Director Kenneth Hermon said, “This initiative, for employees of the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands, is part of the Division’s Wellness Program, which has a mission of “Helping Employees Achieve Long Term Health.”
Gardening workshops will be held in both districts, including: Tuesdays on St. Croix beginning June 5, and Wednesdays on St. Thomas beginning June 6.  The division intends to offer the workshops on St. John, as well; details will be announced once confirmed.
