Larry Bird Era Celtics Hang at F Stop Gallery

Black and white images from the Larry Bird era Boston Celtics as seen through the lens of national awarding-winning photographer Steve Rockstein go on display this Saturday at F Stop Gallery .   The exhibit opening of “The Championship Era Celtics’”  will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26 and 27, at the gallery in Tillet Gardens. The gallery is regular business hours and the show will continue through January.
“Great action shots of the entire starting five are here… Bird, Robert Parrish, Kevin McHale, Dennis Johnson and Danny Anige,” said Rockstein, who covered the Celtics for the Associated Press in the early ’80s. “All prints are for sale and would make a great addition to any Celtic fan’s home or office,” Rockstein said.
The exhibit opening coincides with the Arts Alive ‘Art in the Garden’ festival. The VI Council on the Arts, The National Endowment for the Arts, The National Association of News Photographers, The Society of News Designers and The International Center of Photography and others have honored Rockstein’s work, which has been exhibited and published worldwide.
