Sponsorship Applications Available for Summer Food Service Programs

The State Office of Special Nutrition Programs has announced that sponsor application packages are available in the territory’s school districts for the 2013 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
SFSP serves children from two years-old to 18 years-old with free meals during the summer vacation. A person 19 years of age and over who has a mental or physical disability as determined by a state or local educational agency and participates during the school year in a public or private non-profit school program established for the mentally or physically disabled is also eligible to receive meals.
To obtain SFSP application packages, representatives of public or non-profit organizations may contact the State Office of Special Nutrition Programs at 774-0100, ext. 2817 on St. Thomas or at 773-1095, ext. 7082 on St. Croix.
