Education Seeks Qualified Substitute Teachers

The V.I. Education Department’s Human Resources staff is searching for enthusiastic, dependable and well-rounded professionals to be part of its substitute teaching pool. “Substitute teachers, whether seasoned professionals or recent college graduates, bring a wide range of energy to the classroom. We need this energy to keep our students engaged," said the department’s human resources director Dayna Clendinen.
The department offers its substitute teachers a competitive salary and flexible hours within an engaging work environment. This is an opportunity for retirees to rekindle their passion for teaching by returning to the classroom, as well as a chance for new college graduates to further enhance their skills and build experience for their resumes, according to a press release from the V.I. Department of Education.
