Board of Elections Invites Public to Forums on Election System

The St. Croix Board of Elections is inviting anyone interested in giving testimony or offering written suggestions for the elections system to town forums to be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, at St. Gerard’s Hall and on Thursday, March 24, at the University of the Virgin Island’s Great Hall, according to a press release from the St. Croix Board of Elections.
"These town hall meetings are open to the public and are being hosted to give the community an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas and give input in the elections process," St. Croix Board Chairman Rupert Ross said in a statement. "It is also imperative that we do our best to communicate more frequently with the public about the election as we carry out our mandate to ensure fair and open elections and respect the constitutional rights of every eligible voter in the Virgin Islands," he said.
