Humane Society to Hold Valentine Ball

The Humane Society of St Thomas will host its annual fundraiser and Island tradition, the Valentine Ball, affectionately known as the “Doggie Ball.” The event will take place at the St. Peter Greathouse with cocktails at 7 p.m. followed by dinner at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13. The theme for this year’s event is “A Toast to Bollywood.” Bollywood is the informal term popularly used for the Indian film industry, which produced musicals such as the Academy-Award winning, “Slumdog Millionaire.”

Tickets for the ball are $150 per person, which includes an open bar and are available at the Shelter in Estate Nadir, How ‘Bout Your Pet in Yacht Haven, Home Again in Red Hook and the Chamber of Commerce office on Main Street.
