O'Neal Leander Sackey Dies at 87

Sept. 24, 2008 – O'Neal Leander Sackey, also known as "Sack" or "Cousin O'Neal," of Anna's Hope died at his residence on Sept. 21. He was 87 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Winona Sackey-Joshua and Deanna L. Sackey; sons: Rael L. and Forrest O. Sackey; grandchildren: Keith R. Gittens Jr., Chotsani Sackey, Chalia Boyce, Khefren Sackey, Allyson Sackey, D'Lani Ford, Ehdie Masai and Rashani Sackey, Gerard Boyce Jr. and Talitha Sackey; and great-grandchildren: De'Ja and Allysa Ford, and G'Kosi Boyce. He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Barbara Sackey; son-in-law, Beaugeste Joshua; special friends: Williams family, Jackson family, Petersen family, as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Internment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Beryl Adams-Francis Scholarship Fund.
