Here's what is happening on both campuses of the University of the Virgin Islands.

Habitat for Humanity of the Virgin Islands will host the Golden Touch fundraising kick-off and jewelry auction on Saturday, Sept. 18, at the St. Peter Mountain Great House.

The 5th annual “Dollar fo' Dollar 'Pitch It In The Harbor' Culture & History Tour: A Remembrance of the 1892 Coal Workers Strike on St. Thomas” will take place on Sunday, Sept. 12.

This week The Source launches The Road To College, a new series designed to help young people and their parents with different aspects of preparing for college.

The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) announces that the Division of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Beach Water Quality Monitoring Program, which evaluates weekly water quality at 43 popular swimming beaches throughout the territory, advises the public of the following:  

St. Thomas Historical Trust members and the general public are invited to a walking tour of the step streets between Nye Gade and Murphy Gade in Dronningens (Queen’s) Quarter. Charlotte Amalie’s step streets are unique in the English speaking Caribbean.

Virgin Islands National Park has installed eight new barbeque grills and five new picnic tables at Francis and Lameshur Bays. Five tables and three grills were installed at Francis Bay; three tables and two grills were installed at Lameshur.
