Man Injured by Gunfire Near Hidden Valley

A 32-year-old man was shot in the foot just after midnight Friday morning in the Hidden Valley area. The victim told police a vehicle with at least three occupants drove by and shot at him, according to a report from the V.I. Police Department.

The victim, who was not identified by police, told officers he was walking home when a black vehicle with least three persons inside drove up behind him. He said he then heard at least four gunshots.

The victim ran and felt a burning sensation in his left foot and realized he was shot. He was taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
