Police on St. Thomas are investigating a shooting that injured two people near Coki Point Plaza about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Police Department indicated in a press release issued Wednesday. One victim was shot in his upper back and another was shot in his ankle.

Police said they responded to a call of shots fired near the Coki Point Plaza. When they arrived on the scene one victim was being taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment.
