Shooting Claims life of 18-year-old Vasheo Donastorg

According to police, Vasheo Donastorg was washing his car outside his home on Lime Street when shots rang out Monday evening, killing the 18-year-old. Police are urging anyone with information to call.

Husband, Wife Hospitalized With Gunshot Wounds in Domestic Dispute

A Tutu Valley husband and wife are being treated for gunshot wounds arising from a domestic dispute which police are investigating as a possible first degree assault and attempted suicide, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, police were notified of a shooting victim in Tutu Valley, according to the VIPD. At the same time a private vehicle arrived at the Mariel C. Newton Command requesting an escort to the hospital for a shooting victim, initial police reports say, according to the VIPD. In the vehicle was a female victim, who was injured by at least one gunshot to her upper body. The victim told police her husband may have shot himself at their residence. Police escorted the victim to the hospital for treatment.

Other police traveled to the residence indicated by the female victim. Once there, police observed a male victim in a bedroom, also injured by gunfire. The victim had a gun in his hand, police said.

Police confiscated the weapon and the victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
