Man Arrested for Stealing from Office Max

St. Thomas police arrested Glenroy L. Smith, 59, Monday, and charged him with buying, receiving, or possessing stolen property.

Smith was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. Monday after he was caught on surveillance video taking merchandise that did not belong to him from the Office Max store in Tutu Park Mall. His bail was set at $10,000.

In a separate incident, 59-year-old Trevor Homer was arrested and charged with second degree burglary after he broke into a Frenchman’s Bay apartment, created a disturbance, and took a flat screen television. Police said Homer was also violating a standing restraining order. His bail was set at $50,000.

Both suspects were remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
