340 Boxing Fundraiser Brings in Money for New Fights

As the territory's 340 Boxing champs continue their intense training regimen in Oxnard, California, officials on St. Thomas are gearing up for a weekend event meant to raise funds for new fights on the mainland. The fundraiser is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, in the Fort Christian Parking Lot on St. Thomas. Residents will have a chance to grab an official 340 Boxing T-shirt, take a chance on a 50/50 raffle, relax with a cool drink, treat their kids to some fun-filled activities, or just hang out with Boxing Hall of Famer Julian Jackson, who will also be out for the event.
All funds will be put toward off-island training for 340 Boxers John Jackson, Julius Jackson and Samuel Rogers as they prepare for upcoming fights in Las Vegas.
Details on the fights, which are still tentative, will be released at a later date. In the meantime, 340 Boxing fans can continue to keep tabs on their favorite boxers by visiting www.340boxing.com.
