Tennis Association Holds Tryouts for Davis Cup Team

The Virgin Islands Tennis Association (VITA) announces that there will be tryouts for the 2012 Davis Cup Team on St. Croix from Thursday May 10 through Sunday, May 13, venue to be decided later.
The Davis Cup Tie will be held in Tobago the week of June 18th.  The team will leave for Tobago on Friday, June 15 and return on Sunday, June 24. VITA will reimburse off-island players who make the team for their plane fare.
Players must be US citizens and be actively playing competitive tennis or playing on a college team.
Players wanting to tryout must contact William McComb by 5 p.m., Friday, April 20, at billvi10@hotmail.com or call 690-0308.
