Brief: Market Square Project Disrupts Traffic Starting Tuesday

Beginning Tuesday, traffic on Krondprinsens Gade will be reduced to a single lane of traffic westbound between Strande Gade and General Gade because of Department of Public Works construction for the Rothschild Francis "Market" Square.

In announcing the traffic disruption Friday, Public Works Commissioner Darryl Smalls said crews will install waterline, underground utility conduits and a storm water drainage system.

The commissioner encouraged drivers and pedestrians to obey all temporary traffic control devices and proceed with caution while proceeding through the construction areas.
