National Park Installs New Picnic Tables and Grills Donated by Friends of the Park

Virgin Islands National Park has installed eight new barbeque grills and five new picnic tables at Francis and Lameshur Bays. Five tables and three grills were installed at Francis Bay; and three tables and two grills were installed at Lameshur.

They were made possible through a monetary donation from the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park. The Friends provided funds to purchase the grills and have the tables constructed. The tables were constructed through a contract with Aubrey Walters. Park personnel, under the leadership of Kevin Samuel, the building and utilities foreman, conducted the installation.
Superintendent Mark Hardgrove thanks the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park for this, and their continued contributions and support to the Park. In addition, he would like to extend an invitation to the general public to visit the park and enjoy the resources and amenities.
