Virgin Islands Society of CPAs Holds Two Seminars

The Virgin Islands Society of CPAs (VISCPAs) presents “Continuing Professional Education in Taxation.” The seminars will be held: on Jan. 22 and 23 at the Buccaneer Hotel on St. Croix, and on Jan. 24 and 25 at the Sugar Bay Resort on St. Thomas.
Federal Income Tax Update- Individuals:
This course focuses on various tax issues related to individual taxation. Topics include the impact of tax legislation including the “tax cliff” and Obama Care tax increases, changes in tax rates, recent cases, rulings and regulations, and practice issues. The course will also address pending
tax issues from Washington. One day – 8 hours.
Business Tax Developments:
This course addresses tax issues related to businesses including key matters involving C corporations, S corporations, LLCs and partnerships. Topics include a review of cases, rulings and regulations as they affect small closely held businesses, the impact of Obama Care on the
taxation of businesses. This session will provide participants with the legislative and regulatory requirements for their business for 2012, 2013 and beyond. One day – 8 hours.
The cost is $475 for two sessions or $250 for one session.
