The 32nd Annual Caribbean Conference will be held on St. Thomas this June 3-5. This year’s theme, “Journey to Sustainability,” will set the tone for the two-day insurance industry event, attendees will have the opportunity to catch up on the latest in market trends, product development and regulatory issues as they look to forge new business strategies designed for long-term growth and success.
The conference will feature Butch Bacani, program leader with the United Nations Environmental Programme Financial Initiative, a public-private partnership between the U.N. Environment Program and the world’s financial sector. The opening ceremony guest speaker will be U.S. Virgin Islands Governor John P. deJongh Jr.
The Caribbean Conference is co-hosted by LIMRA, LOMA and the Insurance Association of the Caribbean (IAC). Attracting more than 500 delegates from up to 38 countries each year, the conference provides a wide range of informative sessions and networking opportunities for Caribbean insurance actuaries, regulatory authorities, and educational institutes, as well as other groups with an interest in the Caribbean insurance industry.
A post-conference training session will be held on Wednesday, June 6. The one-day executive development program, entitled Power to Connect, will teach leaders how to properly “read” people in order to more effectively engage them in building stronger professional relationships. This session is part of the IAC Training Calendar, which includes a number of industry programs that address training gaps identified in the Caribbean through a recent LIMRA survey.
For general information on the training calendar, please contact IAC at info@iac-caribbean.com or LIMRA LOMA at intl@loma.org. For more information about the conference or to register online,
