On Thursday, April 25, the St. Thomas community was enjoying J'Ouvert when the celebration was shattered by gunshots which injured three people. Public safety officials immediately canceled the remainder of J'Ouvert.

Police ID Victim of Tuesday Shooting

No Record of Guns Confiscated by DPNR Cop Accused of Drug Smuggling

DPNR Enforcement Officer Roberto Tapia testified in March that he regularly confiscated boaters’ firearms but DPNR has no records at all of any firearms confiscated by Tapia.

HAZELLE LIVE!

Hazelle Goodman, the well-known actress and comedienne who addressed the W.O.W. (Wider Opportunities for Women) conference in St. Thomas last October, will return to the Reichhold Center for the Arts for "A Night of Laughter & Love."
Goodman will perform at the Reichhold Center for the Arts at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6. She has performed previously to a sellout crowd at Reichhold.
She recently had a featured role in Woody Allen's film, "Deconstructing Harry."
Her one-woman show, "Things Going On," sold out a string of performances at Cami Hall in New York City.
She performed last summer in New York City's Central Park as the queen in Shakespere's "Cymbeline" as part of the Public Theater's "Shakespere in the Park."

Goodman is a native of Trinidad, now living in New York City.
Goodman's appearance will benefit Wider Opportunities for Women and the V.I. Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (Every Woman at Heart).
Tickets are available at Modern Music (all locations), Chicco's (Wheatley Shopping Center), Krystal & Gifts Galore (Tutu Park Mall), Color of Joy (Red Hook) and the Reichhold Center Box Office.
Tickets are $40 for covered section, $20 for mid-section seating and $15 for general admission.
