The Forum Announces New Date for Puerto Rico Symphony and Rising Stars Orchestra

The Puerto Rico Symphony OrchestraThe Forum has announced that the concert featuring the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra and the Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra will now take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, at the Reichhold Center. This is a joint production between the Forum and the Reichhold Center for the Arts.
“We were reluctant to cancel the concert originally planned for Oct. 13, but the weather forecast left us no choice,” said Neil Prior, chairman of the Forum.
The Rising Stars will play four pieces with the symphony by Mozart, Rimsky Korsakov, Von Suppe and Tchaikovsky. There will be over 100 musicians on the stage together. The Rising Stars will play two pieces on its own, including Beyonce’s hit “Love on Top.” The Puerto Rico Symphony will play an overture by Brahms and the magnificent Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
The Reichhold Box Office will honor all existing tickets already purchased which have the “October 13” date. No action is required from ticket holders.
If you have already bought a ticket and are unable to make the new date, you will need to bring your tickets to the box office to obtain a refund.
For new purchasers, tickets will be on sale at Reichhold Box Office (693-1559), UVI Bookshop, VI Bridal & Tuxedo Center (Tutu Park Mall), Dockside Bookshop, Interiors (Ft. Mylner) and Home Again (Red Hook). Tickets cost $75, $35 ,$20.
