Pistarckle Theater Presents Second Annual Summer Film Series

July 15, 2005 – Pistarckle Theater and founding sponsor FirstBank Virgin Islands are proud to announce the Second Annual Film Series beginning tuesday, July 19, and every Tuesday after that for a total of six weeks. The first two weeks, July 19 and July 26, begins with the first features category that showcases two successful feature length films made by first time directors.
According to Angela Gordon, marketing director, July 19 begins with Joel Hopkins's film "Jump Tomorrow." This romantic comedy is about a young Nigerian man on the verge of being in an arranged marriage. He suddenly questions his situation after an encounter with a stunning Latin woman who is also about to be married. Tunde Adebimpe and Hippolyte Girardot star in the film.
The weeks that follow will feature films that will be announced early next week in another press release. The next two weeks August 2, and August 9, will feature an international showcase with films from around the world.
The following two weeks, August 16 and August 23, will feature the winners of top prizes at film festivals.
All films begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. The Pistarckle Theater invites everyone to stay for a post-movie discussion immediately after the film. A door prize will be announced at the end of each discussion.
