The fifth annual Liston Davis Children’s Parade brought holiday cheer to St. Thomas on Monday, winding its way from the Omar Brown Sr. Fire Station, past the Paul M. Pearson Garden housing community, to the Virgin Islands Children’s Museum in Havensight, where Santa Claus himself delivered gifts to dozens of youngsters eagerly awaiting his arrival.

Hosted by the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, and supported by more than a dozen public and private sector sponsors, the free event is a year-end celebration to foster community cooperation and spread holiday cheer. It is named for Davis, a former Education commissioner and senator.
