Elroy Alphonso Jeffers Dies at 74

Elroy Alphonso Jeffers

Elroy Alphonso Jeffers, also known as “Magoo,” of Estate Grove Place died on Aug. 30. He was 74 years old.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vida Jones-Jeffers; mother, Hilda Preville; and father, Donald Drew.

He is survived by his sisters: Myrna Hamilton, Yvette Smith, Marie Francis and Jasmine Heny-Boone; brothers: Calvin Henry and Corden Drew;   nieces: Vonetta Hamiton, Whitney Smith, Chantel Boone, Morgan Henry-Robinson, Keyana Boone and Alexius Henry; and nephews: Edwin Smith Jr., Cyril (Diana) Smith, Travis Henry and Charles Williams of Tortola.

He is also survived by great nieces: Cayla Smith, Jha’nei Smith, Zabraya Smith, Tatyana Smith and Oliver Robinson; great-nephews: Nijah Smith, Yonathon Roberts, Zion Smith and Zacarias Smith; uncle, Ambrose Jeffers; brothers-in-law: Edwin Smith, Steven Boone, Melville Francis, Austin and Lowell Jones, Lawrence and Cardinal Mills, Ronald, Maurice, Clemson, Andy and Henry Cole;

Other survivors include sisters-in-law: Janice Cole, Lynette Monell and Floretta Dacosta; special friends: Anita Saddler, Erlin Weeks of Nevis, Sheran George Milta and Jasmine John; special loved one: Sandra Duncan of Tortola; cousins and other relatives: Pauline Collins and Dolly; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at James Memorial Funeral Chapel. The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. with service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
