
Ocean Point Terminals has announced that it has awarded $17,500 in scholarships to 11 noteworthy U.S. Virgin Islands students for the 2024-2025 school year. Ocean Point maintains a strong commitment to education, and this funding is allotted annually to support scholarship recipients in their pursuit of a degree at an accredited U.S. college or university, or technical/vocational college.
This year’s recipients include:
V’Kesha Adams, who will attend Howard University
Jayla Cuffy, who will attend Tuskegee University
Hadeyah Donaie, who will attend Howard University
Sera Ehmann, who will attend the University of Rochester
Ryan Ferdinand Jr., who will attend Villanova University
Josiah Francis, who will attend the University of the Virgin Islands
Priya Giyanani, who will attend George Washington University
Jaden Gonzalez, who will attend the University of Michigan
Lynda Gordon, who will attend the University of South Florida
Azariah Providence, who will attend Howard University
Amelie Zucker, who will attend Harvard University
Ocean Point Terminals Chief Executive Officer Todd Dillabough expressed pride for this year’s recipients. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to support the next generation of scholars, and it gives me pride to know that Ocean Point Terminals is assisting so many students on their post-secondary journey,” said Dillabough.
Every year, Ocean Point awards $100,000 in scholarships, and recipients are selected based on their scholastic record and financial need compared to other applicants. Scholarships are provided for up to four years should the student maintain good academic standing. Since 2016, the Ocean Point Terminals has supported a total of 125 individual students in their pursuit of a quality post-secondary education.
Additionally, Ocean Point donates more than $100,000 annually to the University of the Virgin Islands to support the UVI Process Technology degree program and the development of our local workforce. To date, Ocean Point has awarded almost $1M for training and scholarships to local recipients across the territory.
