Kurt Vialet, principal of the St. Croix Educational Complex High School, reminds students, parents and guardians of the prescribed dress code for all students. “All students attending the St. Croix Educational Complex are required to be appropriately dressed and groomed at all times,” he said.
Educational Complex H.S. Reminds Students of Uniform Policy
Referencing the press release issued at the beginning of this school year, Vialet has issued the following rules:
The uniform for female students includes a knife or box-pleated skirt with a waistband of not more than two inches. The length of the skirt must at least reach the top of the knee in front, and the back must reach the bend at the back of the knee. No lace, frills or ornamentations, including colored thread, will be allowed on the school uniform skirt. Additionally, no wrap skirts, skorts or bibs will be permitted on campuses.
Female students are to wear a short-sleeved blouse with a button-down front and a collar or pull-over shirt with no ornamentations. Socks should be ankle to knee high with no ornamentation. Shoes should be black or dark brown, or black, white or gray sneakers. No slippers, slides, mules, high heels or boots are allowed. Jewelry for female students is limited to one watch, one pair of earrings (no large hoops, balls or designs), one small chain with one small pendant and one bracelet. Absolutely no rings are allowed.
The male student uniform includes plain trousers not to be worn below the waistline. Pants should have front and rear pockets. Cargo pants, oversized pants, extra printed designs or embroidered designs are not allowed. Belts must be worn with pants. Students wearing Dickies pants are to have the side pocket on the leg stitched down. The boy’s shirt must be short-sleeved, button down at the front with collar or pull over shirt. Jewelry for boys is limited to one watch, one pair of earrings (no large hoops, balls or designs), one small chain with one small pendant, and one bracelet. Absolutely no rings are allowed.
