A night of cultural reflection is in store April 17 at 8 p.m. as performers entertain with quadrille, maypole, poetry and a variety of dances. The Junior Calypso Monarch, to be crowned Tuesday, will make a guest appearance.
The evening heats up with the King and Queen of the Band competition. Acacia, Hugga Bunch, UVI, Party Lovers, Fun Lovers, Jus' Action, Infernos and Elskoe and Associates carnival troupes will strut their stuff for the coveted title – and a special Governor's Prize of $2,500.
Acacia and Sun children will compete in the Junior category.
