The Forum will present “The Sounds of Majesty — Works for Organ, Brass and Voice by Composers of African Descent,” under the direction of Gylchris Sprauve. The Music will span early Baroque of the 16th century to the modern music of the 20th century. The composers who will be celebrated are: Edmond Dédé, Margaret Bonds, James Lee III, Ignatius Sancho and Casildo Thompson. The concert will feature Nathaniel Gumbs, organist; The Adoquín Brass Quintet – Brass from Puerto Rico; and Melita Etienne, mezzo soprano. There will be a meet and greet with the artists following the concert. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $10 for teachers and $5 for students; they are free for children under 10 years old and student attendees of the workshop.
