The 32nd Legislature has scheduled a Committee of the Whole Hearing to receive testimony on the following rezoning requests:
Petition of Kenneth R. Lindquist (authorized agent — James Hoffman) requesting that a 3-2 (business-secondary/neighborhood) rezoning or use variance be granted to the R-1 (residential-low density) zoned Plot No. 50 Estate Boetzberg, East End Quarter A, St. Croix. The purpose of the request is to allow for retail and office space.
Proposed Use: The applicant intends to develop the property with Cruzan Creations’ retail and wholesale custom printing business as well as two dwelling units: one for the applicant’s family and the second for the authorized agent.
Petition of the Seventh-day Adventist-North Caribbean Conference requesting a use variance be granted to the C (commercial) zoned Plot No. 45-A Estate Glynn, King Quarter, St. Croix. The purpose of the request is to allow for a halfway house.
Current/Proposed Use: The property has a two-story residence that is currently being used as a halfway house; the intent is to bring it into zoning compliance.
