Second Round of Sandbag Distribution

The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) continues Operation Blue Skies Sandbag Distribution. Residents are limited to six filled bags per household. Please note, if people have received sandbags during last Thursday’s distribution, they will be prohibited from receiving sandbags on Tuesday. VI Fire Service, Department of Public Works and VITEMA will coordinate the distribution of sandbags to the residents of the territory. Following the guidelines of the CDC and V.I. Department of Health, the VI Fire Service and Department of Public Works will load sandbags into your personal vehicles so that social distancing and non-contact is maintained. Please wear a mask. No Mask, No Service. Special care will be taken for our senior citizens and physically challenged communities/residents. If someone is unable to pick up sandbags because of physical challenges, please contact VITEMA by emailing contact@vitema.vi.gov
