Rotary East to Hold Chihuahua Races

Rotary Club of St. Thomas East will host its 16th Annual Chihuahua Races. The day will feature an owner/dog beauty pageant with ticket sales determining the winners; there will be 20 canine entries in the race category. Race contestants must be under 20 lbs. to be eligible, but all sizes and species are welcome for the pageant. This annual family favorite event is first and foremost a fundraiser with 100 percent of all proceeds going to provide backpacks for each 1st grade student on St. Thomas at the beginning of the next school year. Food, music and the always popular event T-shirts will be available in various sizes and styles for purchase. Registration for both the race and the pageant can be made at Style a Dog located at Crown Bay Marina. The entrance fee is $25.
