The public is invited to participate in the free Heart Health Expo (Fit Fest) as part of a celebration of the 2022 American Heart Month. The Expo is being hosted by the V.I. Department of Health’s Division of Chronic Disease, the Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Sigma Theta Omega Chapter. Activities will include: a presentation on cardiovascular disease, and demonstrations on CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and the proper use of a defibrillator. Following the demonstrations, participants will be led in a 45-minute aerobics session conducted by Ealaine Joseph of Fusion Fitness. Face masks will be required, and all COVID-19 protocols will be enforced. For more information, email Lyna Fredericks
