Etelman Observatory Presents Public Observing Night

The University of the Virgin Islands’ Etelman Observatory invites the public to its next observing night.  To reserve a space, go to the link below associated with the time slot you would like to attend and follow the directions. There are three time slots of one hour each.

This public observing session will be looking at views of the planet Saturn as well as various deep sky objects, including globular clusters and galaxies under a moonless sky. It will also feature a presentation on the upcoming transit of Mercury across the Sun (on Nov. 11) and how such events have led to important scientific discoveries about our solar system and other star systems. There will be a shuttle service running from the Sibilly School parking lot. Please RSVP using the links.
