There will be a book-signing/ meet and mingle with the authors of “The New Pie” — Modern Techniques for the Classic American Dessert by Chris Taylor and Paul Arguin. ($30/Hardcover). The cook book features some pies with local inspirations, including the Guavaberry Apple, the West Indies Wedding Pie, which is based on traditional Caribbean Black Cake. The authors are from St. Thomas. In addition, there will be samples made from some of the recipes available for tasting.
