VJ Lottery Extraordinary Drawing Set for April 25; Grand Prize Is $500,000, Other Prizes Available

The VJ Lottery ’s 86th Extraordinary Drawing (EX-86) is slated for Thursday, April 25, with a grand prize of $500,000. In the spirit of St. Thomas Carnival, the theme is “Lucky Masquerade, Carnival of Chance.” A full sheet of tickets can be purchased for $50.

In addition to the grand prize of half a million dollars, there are other opportunities to win cash. The second, third, fourth and fifth prizes are $90,000; $70,000; $50,000 and $30,000, respectively. Bonus prizes include a 2023 Ford Escape, a trip for two on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, a home-living space improvement valued at $5,000 and a gas and grocery gift certificate bundle valued at $1,000.

Tickets can be purchased through licensed dealers or at VI Lottery office locations in Sunny Isles, St. Croix and Waterfront, St. Thomas.

Promotional Incentives

To help promote the EX-86 drawing and incentivize customers, the VI Lottery will host promotional events on each island.

St. Croix’s Lucky Masquerade EX-promotion will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 6, in the lot between the former Dial Rent-to-Own and Gas for Less Service Station in the Sunny Isles area. Dealers will be onsite selling tickets, and there will be refreshments and promotional giveaways.

St. Croix-based radio station 101.3 RoeFM will be broadcasting live from the event and music will be provided by DJ Troopah live.

St. Thomas will host its EX-promotion, Carnival in the Garden, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, in Emancipation Garden.

Dealers will also be onsite selling tickets; there will be food vendors, promotional giveaways, raffle prizes, live remote broadcasts by 101.3 RoeFM and 107.9 Da Vybe; and music by DJ General Kuntry.

During the event there will be a mini parade around the park featuring a host of VI Lottery-funded organizations including Elite Dynasty Dance Group, Charming Twirlers Majorettes, Eccentric Mocko Jumbies and St. Thomas Traditional Indians.

The Caribbean Lottery, partners of the VI Lottery, will also be at both EX-promotion events with other opportunities to play and win cash.

EX-86 draws at noon, in the St. Thomas office on Thursday, April 25. Shortly thereafter, winning numbers will be published on the website, sent out to the media and posted on VI Lottery social media accounts. Customers can also receive results via text message by signing up at https://www.winusvilottery.com/sms-text-messages  or by accessing the “Did I Win,” option on the website at https://www.winusvilottery.com/did-i-win.

Customers must be 18 years or older to purchase tickets. The Virgin Islands Lottery highly encourages the community to play responsibly.
