Aston Wayne Harty, better known as “Wayne” or “Jumpy,” of Judith’s Fancy, peacefully transitioned from this life on May 28 at his residence. He was 82 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Sandra Harty, Suzanne Harty, Candida Harty and Ashlyn Harty-Moorhead; sons: Cheyenne Harty and Stefan Harty; sisters: Velma Green, Lorna Mclaren and Hyacinth Webb; several grandchildren; a host of other close relatives and special friends too numerous to mention.
Per his request, a private cremation will take place. A memorial service organized by his children will be announced at a later date.
A public memorial service, organized by his children, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, at the St. Croix Tennis Club. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name for scholarship/community projects in the Virgin Islands.
