Man Charged with Assault in Krush Nightclub Stabbings

 

A man is in custody in connection with two stabbing assaults Oct. 17 at the Krush Nightclub on St. Thomas, the V.I. Police Department reported Monday.

Kheli “Masai” Ubiles turned himself over to Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives without incident on Monday after the VIPD distributed a wanted poster in connection with the incident, the report stated.

Ubiles was processed, charged with two counts of first-degree assault and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing, according to the report. 

On Oct. 17 around 11:48 p.m., officers from the Richard Callwood Command were dispatched to the nightclub following reports of a fight where someone was stabbed.  

Investigation revealed that a second victim had also been stabbed and was traveling to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment. Both individuals were treated for their wounds and one remained in the hospital for further medical treatment due to the severity of his injuries, the report stated.
