VIWMA Closes Long Bay Pump Station Temporarily.

The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community of the temporary closure of the Long Bay Pump Station. Effective immediately, the station will discontinue receiving sludge, grease and septic material. The authority is conducting clean-up procedures to bring this station back online.

In the meantime, haulers are asked to hold their sludge until Saturday, Sept. 3, at which time they can bring it to the Mangrove Lagoon Wastewater treatment plant.

Please call 844-WMA-USVI (844-962-8784) to report any illegal dumping, sewage overflow or service interruption. For more information, contact the Division of Education and Communications Management at 513-4171 or email communications@viwma.org. Also, follow VIWMA on Facebook and/or Twitter
